In Feb, 2007, when I saw new Economics textbook of 9th standard published by Maharashtra state board, I noticed that in front cover of textbook Andaman &Nicobar islands were not mentioned in Indian map. I further observed that on page no. of book same map with Andaman &Nicobar Islands.
Like Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman &Nicobar Islands are also integral part of our country & they were must mention in Indian map of any teaching books.
On 5th Feb, 2007 I filed a RTI application to state education board. Information officer accepted my observance & passed an order for correction in map in next edition of book.
In new reprint of Economics textbook we can see Andaman &Nicobar Islands in our Indian map.
